The Netgear OEM recovery flash mode uses tftp, so there is no web interface and no URL in that sense. You need a tftp client instead, like said in the wiki article that I linked in your previous thread.

If you end up in LuCI, you are not in any recovery mode. But in normal OpenWrt. What I mean with "recovery mode", is the OEM TFTP recovery mode... https://openwrt.org/toh/netgear/d7800#debricking Ps. The simplest solution for you might be to reset the router from LuCI (and not restore settings afterward). That should reset also the compatibility setting.

If D7800 LED behaviour is similar to R7800, when initiating the recovery mode via reset hole during boot, the power led first blinks orange and then the blinking turns to slow steady white blinking, when the router is the recovery mode and waiting for FTP client to send the file.
