I am a too beginner for this solution
post a link to the Debian image you used for the flash drive, and I'll try to create the openwrt image for you, but it won't be today.
the Finnix grub2 was complaining even with the stock OS intact, on a laptop with secure boot enabled.
anyway, here's the Finnix grub2 with Openwrt installed - https://1fichier.com/?wd30mzh8e3ddcq9pl0ur

it boots using isolinux on a legacy boot enabled system, and at least starts grub2 on one with secure boot enabled, but I can't guarantee it'll actually work on your HP laptop.
it's a 8GB SD card image, just dd it to whatever => 8GB device, and try to boot.
the /boot (/dev/sd?1) is 512MB big, this is because fatresize said it'd have to change the filesystem, if it was made smaller, and I didn't want to find out if it would still work afterwards
Yesterday I tried same steps using a 1tB hard drive, still facing the same problem. Op is not booting.
the media isn't the issue here
Thank you for your help. I will try this and update you. The main problem is legacy mood is not enabling in my HP laptop. i think I should try on another system with legacy mode on.
then what is the problem.
secure boot / legacy boot.
could also be a BIOS bug.
I think it's a very good idea.

yes, they are.
Thank you for your help.
Can i install Op on a dual boot PC? I have one system with windows and Ubuntu installed on it.
no, this will overwrite the partition table and boot loader.
try a flash drive again
If I understand right, I can make a bootable usb of openwrt and connect it whenever I need. Not need to install it on a dedicate system?
correct me if I am wrong.
you can install it on some removable media, yes.
It worked. Thanks for help.
Also i want to know can port mirroring is possible using OPwrt
what part ?
the image, or did you end up installing on a different host ?
check out Firewall4 and Tee
The problem was with my machine not with the image. I used other machine and kept legacy boot enabled and followed the same steps and it worked. I made a bootable usb of openwrt.
I will check thanks
