Thats first fitting requirements at half budget, surprisingly subjectively expensive store had ton of good choices under 100€

I'm still surprised you would go for an AX3000 device instead of AX5600, when the diff is 10-15€, and still within budget.

smashed our initial "possible anywhere' 7621 offerings

I think what @frollic is reffering to is https://wifilinks.nl/products/zyxel-t-56-modem-dual-band-wireless-ax6000-ethernet-iad.
And I vote for it as well. I retired Cudy Wr3000 as I bought this one. Consider your choice carfully. Shipping to Germany takes 3-4 days.

I am, didn't want to post the link, again, people will start asking if I'm getting referral kickbacks...

I know:) I have the same fear, as I posted the link several times in my country router forums:)
BTW: Let's post another link as well. Available in Germany: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/openwrt-wifi-6-wlan-router-zyxel-ex5601-t1-t-56-ax6000/3051850462-225-5578

So after reconsidering, and checking the specs of the wifilinks router again, I have to fully agree that the price for the specs provided is very good. I got a bit discouraged by the serial flashing (I already know that there is another way described in a post). Also the wifilinks is not available in Austria (but I know a friend in germany). Now I will try my luck with the wifilinks router because all in all this is a perfect offer for the price. Thx @frollic for the good advice.

They ship anywhere if you email them.

Ok, that's neat, thx

Yep, I had to email them too.

just a last quick question, because I can not really find any review about the wifi range, if some of you currently have the router, is the range good (sry if this is a stupid question)?

I replaced all my gear with a single T-56, and I get perfect signal through 3 brick + dry walls, about 10 meters each way from the router. Don't expect miracles though with the internal and on-PCB antennas. It's not going to be as good as a router/AP with multi-band and external antennas. But it's good enough for my needs.

My partner's phone picks up the Wi-Fi ~100 meters away almost direct line of sight through the window (I have notifications when stations associate).

ok, that should basically cover my needs, wanted to make sure that the range is not awful. Thx a lot

Great, now mark the 1st reply in this thread as the solution :stuck_out_tongue:

xD, already done, thx again

This statement is a bit vague... If the router is with internal antennas - they are calibrated.
If it is with external - you may end up with a pretty bad adjustment and result. There was a topic here around it.

You're right. The wireless performance is however not as good as my previous non-OpenWrt AC router with external antennas and dual 5GHz radios.

Could be. However I like the routers with internal antennas, as you only need to take care of their horizontal placement and movement.
Anyway - for the sake of the topic a screenshot between 2 WDS ( Zyxel T-56) connected. Around 10 meters apart - 2 doors between - no walls.

if you have no walls, why would you need doors ?

Hahaha, yes there are 2 or 3 brick walls, but I imagine the signal goes trough the doors:)
