Did you install wget? That will mess things up because the default is the no-ssl version.
Also...
Upgrading packages (via the CLI opkg upgrade/apk upgrade commands or the LuCI Upgrade... button) can result in major problems. It is generally highly discouraged, unless you know what you are doing or if there is specific instruction to do so.
wget error 5 could be something about the SSL certificates.
missing the certificates? Is ca-bundle or ca-certificates installed?
Is the date roughly right, so that the certificate validity period matches the date in the router?
Should I remove or add anything from cat /rom/etc/apk/world ?
How to check if ca-bundle or ca-certificates are installed or not?

Please stop posting screen dumps, they're useless, and can't be searched.
- the package page in Openwrt lists installed and installable packages in different tabs.
- did you check the date, as suggested?
1st attempt: Initially decided to perform factory reset from System -> Perform reset. Result: It didn't helped.
2nd attempt, decided to downgrade OpenWrt firmware to previous versions. Result: It didn't helped.
3rd attempt: I managed to fix my problem, by finding https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/23504 where date and time have to be synchronized.
Location: System -> System -> Time Synchronization and at NTP server candidates, have to add any of the listed there or from other source if its available.
I used the following: https://www.ntppool.org/zone/europe
Now apk update and apk upgrade work properly.
