I'm not after reverting, the stock firmware is based on a OpenWrt 14.07 SDK.
Sorry, I was replying to @randomname s post regarding flashing the stock firmware from recovery. I don't think that will work due to the flash structure having been changed by the scripts used previously to install Openwrt
yes, I can still enter recovery mode. I tried flashing tplink but it didn't seem to work
you are correct, I cannot in fact flash the TPLink firmware. I was dumb(and a little desperate and sleep deprived) and I did not make a backup, is there a default backup somewhere I can flash somewhere?
Have a look at the 'issues' tab on the github link. However, unless you have taken a backup of the mtd3 partition of 'your' router, I dont think you can recover to stock.
thank you for pointing me to the issues tab, I did take a look and have seen that I will probably have to re flash mtd3, that being said, I'm still quite a newbie and I'm a little lost.
I didn't make a back up of the original firmware (I know, very dumb of me) but I saw that it's possible to get someone else's mtd3 but change the MAC to the one that came on my device, which I also heard was quite a task, do you know id there is a blog about this?
If I were you , I'd try adding a post to the issues on github
