Correct but ldir is 2 commits ahead, that's why I linked his repo.
I've asked @yelreve in his thread and via pm but he hasn't commented about those 2 commits yet.
They are correct. "lo" has fixed numeric ID and iif filter is 10x faster than iifname and bears no risk in this case.
priority x -49....x +49 places your chain strictly before or after default chain.
EDIT: no opinion on maintainer battle
Let me suggest even lighter method - pfifo_fast or mqprio and prioritize (without dscp) small packets without examining.
