@wiki-account not sure I want an account myself but the "OEM Easy installation" part of https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/eap615-wall needs to be deleted.
Why though? I flashed 3 devices that way last week.
If you want other people to make modifications to the documentation, you should elaborate clearly why.
I have an EAP615-Wall myself and the OEM easy installation was how I installed OpenWrt as well. If you happen to have a newer revision that doesn't allow this anymore, you should say so, and specify the revision. But even in that case, that would not be a reason to remove it altogether, as people may still have old or second-hand devices, to which these instructions would apply still.
With 1.5.10 firmware? I don't even have the cliclientd command on mine
then perhaps this tiny detail should have been in your 1st post, since "it doesn't work, at all" is incorrect.
You're absolutely right !
I don't know what version did it stop working with, but on 1.5.10, you can't use "cliclientd" anymore. In fact, nearly no command is available besides a few statistics prints. I can't even check weather the cliclient is installed.
Other people in this blog did more refined research in this topic.
The wiki page should prob warn that this method works up to version X or doesn't work with 1.5.10
since we don't know what X is, I only added a comment about cliclientd not being available in later firmwares.
