[dupe] ICANN requesting feedback on '.internal' TLD

There is currently a proposal to reserve the .internal top-level domain for private use. ICANN's document mentions OpenWrt:

.lan | Used by OpenWrt, a Linux operating system for embedded devices (see Appendix C)

I've tried to make the argument that they should declare .lan to be an abbreviation for internal / lanretni and reserve both, but so far nobody has supported or opposed that particular idea. Here's the link, if anyone has feedback:
