Dumb AP clients cannot reach internet through VLAN

utter nonsense.

You're welcome to do what you want on your networks, but it is very bad practice. Period.

I was unable to get it working. The router will work as a dumb AP if I connect it to the switch on my main LAN but when I assign it to its own VLAN port on its own subnet it doesn't work. None of the wireless traffic makes it from the router to pfsense.

you should re-read the comments from MK24 who has highlighted your problems adequately and therefore doesn't need repeating.

You have 2 choices: Either configure the port on your Cisco 2960 which your router is connected to as an access port with VLAN100 which will isolate your AP onto the VLAN100 segment or configure the port as a trunk port and create a VLAN100 interface on your AP and bridge this interface to the wireless station.

Thank you, a new thread would be the best.
Fortunately I could solve the problem in the meantime.
I learned that I had to create a separate bridge for each VLAN.
