Dual band antennas (TP-Link Archer C5)?

Hi all,

I am thinking to buy something like the Archer C5 router.
I see at the specifications that it is equipped with "two detachable dual band antennas" and that it's capable of running "simultaneous 2.4GHz 300Mbps and 5GHz 867Mbps connections for 1.2Gbps of total available bandwidth".
Really I am more interested to 2.4GHz than 5GHz cause I am quite far from the place where I would place the router, so I am asking if the external antennas of this device truly are for 2.4 and 5GHz at the same time.
Thanks to who kindly will answer to my question.

The C5 is dual band, which means 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz can be run at the same time.

However, version 2 of this router has limited 2.4 Ghz support and no 5 Ghz support in OpenWrt/LEDE...

You might consider another router...

No, see https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_c5_v4 which is not an offically OpenWrt-supported device.
