At the moment, my setup is as follows:
ISP-->Modem(PPPOE passthrough)-->Opnsense-->(different vlans)-->managed switch-->FB7530(dump AP with vlans and multiple SSIDs).
I would like to use DTAG MagentaTV with mediareceiver for IPTV, which requires IGMPv3. But, Opnsense doesn't support IGMPv3 as of now and not sure when it would be possible.
Since FB7530 23.05 now has native VDSL support and can force out IGMPv3, i am thinking of changing the setup like this:
ISP-->FB7530(as modem, LAN1 PPPOE passthrough)-->Opnsense-->(different vlans)-->managed switch-->FB7530(as AP, LAN2-3: vlans configured for multiple SSIDs).
In this setup is it possible to connect the DTAG mediareceiver to FB7530 LAN4 and access IPTV without going through Opnsense ? My logic says this doesn't makes sense as opnsense is handling all the routing due to PPPOE passthrough and so it will be the exit route. Am i correct here ?
Is there any alternative way by which opnsense gets to handle all the traffic expect IPTV which should be handled by FB7530 ? Thanks for your inputs.
