Download speed 1/2 of Upload speed over Wifi

When connected via ethernet cable, and no other devices on the network, download speed is 500Mbps. Over 5G with only 1 device, it's 230Mbps (best). Upload is 460Mbps over same wifi connection(!). These tests show the same results consistently.

Here are the specs:

  • Archer C7 v5 running OpenWrt 22.03.3
  • disabled dnsmasq, firewall, odhcpd
  • DHCP Client
  • Software Offloading enabled
  • Timezone: America/Toronto
  • Fiber Internet Modem (TP Deco)

Thanks very much for any help! I've been reading lots but am baffled as to why I see upload speeds of 450Mbps and download is only 1/2.

I just disabled IPV6 and RA messages on the LAN port and that bumped download to 340Mbps. Getting better....
