Can see my router recommended on the wiki page is not the same as on the firmware picker site with one is the right one to take ?
My router is: D-Link EAGLE PRO AI R32 A1
Instructions are in the git commit:
https://git.openwrt.org/openwrt/openwrt/commit/?id=fdb87a91b4202ad1a58fe46f499e4e68bf82de4e
(you want the recovery image if you're using the recovery web interface)
EDIT: Corrected link
Does u have that for my r32 too can see its m32 u have
I've corrected the link for the R32. The answer is still the same.
Ty sorry for sound lazy just want to do it right this time ty il take a look at that
Allrigjt now i have done everything there stay but cant reach 192.168.1.1 is there no luci in this version or? Can ping the ip but cant ssh to it at all
Depends on what "this version" was....
The 24.10 one the latest i could grab on the git page
If u need more info just tell me
You may have installed snapshot, which does not include LuCI.
Read the link for instructions how to install Luci, which is not installed by default in snapshots.
Regardless, you'll want to make sure you're up to date with 25.12 (use the firmware selector to get the sysupgrade file). You can upgrade via ssh.
Il tryed ssh 192.168.1.1 but seems like i cant reach it but can ping it
Do you get any errors or messages back from the ssh client?
Also...
Il try that but will first be tomorrow i can write back and try it if i get it to work for me
Took this one from the git site its the one i used
openwrt-mediatek-mt7622-dlink_eagle-pro-ai-r32-a1-squashfs-recovery.bin
And tryed lan 1 and 4 cant rember wich one i had success with
The specific lan port shouldn't matter -- they should all be in a single bridge.
dident have time to do enything yesterday but will today just so u know im not done
allright now i good access to it via ssh. the issues is now after reboot it changed ip to it now i cant do enything
my default gateway is 100.122.xxx.x now no clue why it changed from the 192.168.1.1
This indicates that your computer is effectively directly connected to the upstream network. Depending on the context, it might be as simple as a mistake when connecting the cable that goes to the upstream device/network (using a lan port instead of the wan port). Or it could be a configuration mistake where you've bridged the wan port with the lan.
Or, it could be that your computer isn't connected to the OpenWrt router at all.
My router i try to flash is getting signal from my isp router there is in bridge mode
That one is in lan 4 on the router
My computer is in lan 1
Think i cant have it in other ways right now
Yesterday il could connect to the router via ssh but lost connection after i wanted to update it and could not connect to it again after
It where the snapshot img from the link i used
The first time i did it where it not that difficult
Your Openwrt router should be connected to the upstream device using the WAN port.
