I'm using v.19.07 build and using a ZTE USB dongle on a USB Port. The dongle is preconfigured so it's plug and play and works fine.
On OpenWRT connected only through the dongle (no wan cable plugged), I can ping public DNS addresses and perform opkg update
just fine using the console, however it just doesn't work on the LAN ports.
The dongle is setup in /etc/config/network as wan2.
config interface 'wan'
option ifname 'wan'
option proto 'dhcp'
config interface 'wan2'
option ifname 'usb0'
option proto 'dhcp'
The dongle gets an IP Address 192.168.0.x, no network conflicts there.
But ping times from the console to the Dongle Default gateway are ridiculous

The PCs connected on the LAN ports (IP address 192.168.2.x) can ping the dongle Ethernet Interface IP address 192.168.0.170 (I added wan2 in the wan zone in LuCi) But that's it. Doesn't ping DNS, can't open websites etc. I know I'm missing something stupid but don't know what that is. I don't need load balancing or failover, as only one WAN connection will be present at a time.
Looking for suggestions to fix this.
Thank You
