Are you offloading the adblocking or the fw rules?

No, nothing that complicated. I have hardware offloading enabled, also enabled adblock. Some ads are still there. I was just wondering if hardware offloading can block adblocking? Because I feel like it can?
Adblocking through DNS doesn't have 100% hit ratio, you'll miss some ads, they could (for instance) be served from the domain you're surfing to.

Modern ads not only come from the same domain you're surfing to but they're delivered in block with randomized id, class and sometimes even size. Those are not that easy to block even with uBlock Origin...
