Do i need SQM for bufferbloat

I've been testing bufferbloat over the last few days, what I see is first test I will get A grade but if I run it again it will be D grade, I've confirmed that during these tests there is no other devices using the bandwidth.

Download always see 25-35ms increase while upload can vary between 25-300ms.

The D grade is mainly because of my ISP only giving 50mbps upload and 1 gig download.

Yes, set up SQM in upload direction only.

To configure only upload, leave the download fields empty?

Yessir you got it right. Show ubus call system board and uncontrolled waveform report (copy link)
Any potato old router can shape 50Mbps, you need netter one (like arm64) to forward gigabit easily.

Well its a Asus TUF-AX600, i'll see if I can remember to upload the waveform report later

Start with upload, ingress is already usable.

How is your network set up? For SQM to do its thing it needs to be in control of all traffic to/from the internet.
