I recently transferred a domain to Cloudflare, and have configured DNS to point back to my home IP. For some reason, I cannot ping the domain name from my own network (any machine behind the router), but I can ping it from any external machine.
I even went so far as to factory reset OpenWRT. Any help would be appreciated
If ping from the lan zone is allowed to the router and the hosts resolve to the right IP, then it should work.
Thanks for the idea. Ping to the IP worked, I think the issue is with the Ziply Fiber DNS servers, if I use 'dig' and specify any other DNS server, it works.
I ended up changing my DNS on OpenWRT to use Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 (1.0.0.1) and everything works great now.
