DNS custom zones - how?

Hi guys.

A newbie here so go easy on me.
How do you do your custom local DNS zones, if you want to add such zones to oWRT DNS?
Or even better - for split horizon, for what is otherwise by ISC's bind called 'views' - which is best/recommended way?
Can it be done with out-of-box default tools or perhaps installing 'bind' or some other/more binaries is necessary?

You can always install bind, if that is what you know best.
With dnsmasq you have some functionality supported by the Luci or UCI. If that is not adequate you can use the /etc/dnsmasq.conf from the available options.
