Dm200, some small problems

This is my second question.
I took a netgear dm200 modem, I managed to install openwrt (I did a lot of tests but in the end I was lucky and didn't need to fix u-boot with the serial).

Okay, it works and I also managed to configure the internet connection, only I notice some behaviors that might be problems, in order:

  1. Although connected to the internet, the wan interface in Luci is always shown red (I attach a screenshoot).

  2. The modem takes a long time to get the connection, from switching on to the actual connection with the provider it takes about 4-5 minutes.

  3. It seemed to me that if I don't connect a PC immediately during startup then I can't connect it anymore. I only did it once, so I have to check it another time.

  4. This is another thing I'm not sure about, I had tested the modem before installing openwrt and it seemed to me that it consume around 3w, now with openwrt it consume around 5-6w.
But I don't remember if when I had measured it before it was with the internet connection already configured.

Your screenshot is blank here, do you mean this?

:spiral_notepad: If so, that's the firewall coloring for the corresponding Firewall Zone (also named WAN). OpenWrt has a coloring algorithm that always makes sure WAN zone is red.

This is odd.

Very important, along with other factors.

Thanks for the fast reply.

I made a jpeg too compressed

The image is very similar, so I don't have to worry, it's normal that it's red.
I thought it might be related to the long connection time, but then I wouldn't know.

I need to re-test to confirm this malfunction

Yeah, maybe it's normal, maybe someone can confirm that for this modem
