Dlna/minidlna is it worth it?

Hey guys. My router is based on soc mt7621 with 256mb ram and with a hard disk connected to the usb 3.0 port. Two servers are installed on the router, these are samba and nfs, and both work fine in principle, according to my measurements I see that the load on the soc of the router is sometimes lower when using nfs than when using samba, which is logical.
But I have never installed dlna/minidlna on the router? Does anyone have experience installing on a similar soc? Is it better for playing media content?

Video content playback over the network is mainly handled by a media set-top box with a Kodi player (coreelec os).

If you use Kodi, why would you want DLNA ?

kodi supports both samba,nfs and dlna, isn't it better to use dlna in this case?
