Dlink dir-859 a2 cannot flash from 1.07 official to openwrt

I tried from both web ui and emergency room,

  • web ui does not accept openwrt factory image or downgrade to 1.05
  • emergency room (power light blinks very slowly) does not even allow me to connect with static ips, tried with edge and firefox and neither could reach 192.168.0.1 flashing menu

Any one had any luck flashing from the 1.07 firmware?
Please advice!

... which probably is a good thing, since only A1 and A3 appear to be supported.

Could be 1.07 is customized by your provider including rejecting dlinks original which is around 1.05 as it stands on the web.
Can you produce a boot dmesg to seek similrities with a1 and a3?

I got 1.07 from dlink website at some point, but I could no longer find a link to it anymore. How do I get boot dmesg of the router on official firmware?

Something like - set log level to debug, then examine log after boot. Usually in the most advanced System or Settings or Extra menu.
