Disable or Route DHCP in repeater mode

Hi all,

I am using OpenWrt on my older Fritz Repeater with a original Firtz Box following this simple guide called WISP Repeater. https://wifirepeater.org/openwrt-wisp-repeater-mode-configuration/

Device ---WLAN --> OpenWRT ----WLAN -----> Fritz Box AP

Generally it working fine to route traffic but I open WRT still uses its build in DHCP Server so wrong IPs are given to the devices connected to the Repeater. So I have to somehow route also DHCP requests or relay it. Any hint for me? As I am really new to OpenWRT I am a little stuck with the cool options was not available before.

Hi,

I solved it. I created a new interface and conect wlan0-1 to it and setup bridge between wlan0 (client to router) and wlan0-1 (virtual AP of the repeater). In that configuration and with the explicit routing everything is fine. Perhaps this will help somebody.
