DDNS not in sync

I recently added another dnsmasq instance because of Spoof IP for only 1 subnet - #4 by openwide

Now, my DDNS doesn't seem to update, causing services to go down

I have 2 hosts to update

• parent.com - red is a A record at duckdns.org
• cname1.com -> CNAMEs to parent.com
• cname2.com - green -> CNAMEs to cname1.com

Green exists to update another A record (friend.com), otherwise I would only have the Red entry. From my understanding, the looked up IPs for green and red should be the same right

1. When I ping cname2.com it shows hostname parent.com but with the green IP address (49.x)
2. When I ping parent.com it shows the red IP address (175.x)
3. Is DDNS compatible with 2 DNS instances?

I found the issue, had a hardcoded parent.com in my DNS records
