Davidc502- wrt1200ac wrt1900acx wrt3200acm wrt32x builds

@davidc502 I fix LUCI problems at my other routers, and configure out config files format is changed recently. So, if you are use custom luci and ucitrack config files - please got new one from repo and update, it can fix this.

Heya - thanks for the great work @davidc502
I just tried to run the latest snapshots for my wrt32x and It looks like no matter what i try (web or terminal) to upgrade it, I am stuck on r6952.
I have tried to go through this forum to see if anyone else has had this issue but no luck. I even tried to set it back to factory default and then run the upgrade and its still stuck on the r6952.

If this is one of the very early builds for WRT32X, sysupgrade was broken.
You can

  1. Return to OEM and install factory from there again
  2. Interrupt boot with serial and then manually boot it. Sysupgrade will be ok then
  3. Setenv silent var to false and reboot. Sysupgrade will work then.

If not, you have a different issue.
You can check your boot params after rebooting the router and running “dmesg”. It should be obvious if you are running a broken build from there.

No problem. I should probably apologise for pushing support for the device out before sysupgrade was fully working :wink:

Using the latest builds, the 5GHz "Network -> Wireless -> Scan" button does not work for me on either a WRT1900ACS or WRT32X, the page just refreshes back to the Wireless dashboard. The scan option on 2.4GHz works fine.

You should probably file a bug report, doesn't sound davidc502 specific. The mwlwifi driver just got a new build 10.3.8.0-20180716 but doubt it changed much.

Hmm, true even though I've just flashed from the latest snapshot where it works fine?

Been a log of front end commits of late.

Which snapshot? 18.06-rc2, Master, or davidc502 build? Haven't noticed this issue myself but I'll test it tonight.

Might have something to do with the LuCi issue. Latest snaphots have been updated to correct it.

After months of my inactivity, today I've time to install new r7493 Shelby in my 1900ACS
As before, I see that Transmission-daemon-openssl package is not build into it. Probably some error during build.

Please, can you fix it ?
Thank you very much for your efforts. Your job is fantastic :slight_smile:

Installed latest build tonight ... and found , as anticipated that most of the collectd plugins are not working...

Collected errors:
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package collectd-mod-conntrack.
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package collectd-mod-df.
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package collectd-mod-processes.
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package collectd-mod-syslog.
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package collectd-mod-uptime.
 * Unknown package 'collectd-mod-snmp'.

I can live with that for a build or two ... but I can't live without TRANSMISSION ... I've switched repos to the official LEDE night builds, and it's not even there!! What happened to our beloved torrent downloader? I've switched back to my other partition and will sit tight until it comes back....

Looking forward to davids next build, for now i stay with r7210... :wink:

I'm sorry, but Transmission is not available. The workaround is to install it from the LEDE nightly build repo.

Collectd errors should be fixed in the next build.

Thanks,

David

David, I couldn't even find Transmission in the lede repositories of the night builds... is this it?

https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/packages/arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3/packages

those are the packages.

I have the following problem, that I have a second router in my LAN, which advertises a DHCP server I cant disable, and some clients sometimes use this DHCP server instead of the LEDE one. Question to some iptables Gurus, would this work?

iptables -w -A INPUT -p udp -s 192.168.1.1 --sport 53 -j REJECT
iptables -w -A INPUT -p udp -s 192.168.1.1 --sport 67 -j REJECT
iptables -w -A INPUT -p udp -s 192.168.1.1 --sport 68 -j REJECT
iptables -w -A OUTPUT -p udp -d 192.168.1.1 --dport 53 -j DROP
iptables -w -A OUTPUT -p udp -d 192.168.1.1 --dport 67 -j DROP
iptables -w -A OUTPUT -p udp -d 192.168.1.1 --dport 68 -j DROP

Or is there an error in it? d 192.168.1.1 is that other router in my LAN, I dont want the Wifi clients to see as a DHCP or DNS server.

The missing packages ( transmission and collectd-xxx ) magically appeared today in the official lede repo! Problem solved, and I'm on r7493 now. Thanks @davidc502 !

Good deal --- :slight_smile:
Cheers,

David
