Unfortunately not as the kernel versions are different.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can always go back to r6565.
Yes, keep settings in LuCi, so use the sysupgrade image.
No you can't.

You can use minidlna from old 1900v1 version (if David still keep repo for it), or check older release repo (maybe from 17 or 16 release) - find the close kernel version-based one.
Or, for cool guys, you can just build it on device using source code.
Hello Mr David
Thank you again for your very good builds
I suggest to adds Unbound luci app and all unbound packages
But
They are all about low space.
I am using them in my external root for wrt1200
Very good packages for now
Thank you...
Hello friends, (off topic)
I have a serious problem, a company official has changed the login password and we no longer have access to our router, a WRT1900ACS, and both router parts are with OpenWRT (july 2018 David build) versions, so I would like to know how I can do it. have access to the router because I tried to use the RESET button and the same did not work, all help is welcome, as we have no access to the Internet since it has been deconfigured, only local network is working.
Thank you all
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/troubleshooting/failsafe_and_factory_reset
You don't need to actually reset (firstboot
) the device, but can resort to mount_root
and set a new password (passwd
) instead.
I wonder if 18.06.1 has the CPU idle reboot issue on the Mamba (1900AC v1)... probably... hmmmm..
hi,
I'am try all reset possibilities, but no luck, and reset button dont work, SSH so possible, becouse i dont have a new password...
Go ahead and buy a serial cable from Amazon, and through TFTP flash a image to one of the partitions.
Hi all,
I have some issues installing OpenWRT for the first time on a Linksys wrt32x using [lede-mvebu-cortexa9-linksys-wrt32x-squashfs-factory.img](https://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/releases/lede-mvebu-cortexa9-linksys-wrt32x-squashfs-factory.img the issues I am receiving are no internet access and no wfi options in the GUI.
Internet access and WiFi was available with the stock firmware and still is when booting back to the alternative partition. the install itself on the face of it went fine and can login into the web GUI initially i did change the IP range but have done another fresh install from stock firmware and left all settings alone
Network set-up is a cable modem with a Ethernet cable to the internet port to the Linksys then a single PC connected to an Ethernet port on the linksys.(I've removed the Zyxel router and other devices that are set up on a different IP range.
Any help on where to start troubleshooting this would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi! Use latest build I bought WRT32x and flashed it successfully yesterday. r8873 build https://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/r8873/targets/mvebu/cortexa9/
Thanks for your response, still the same issue with that firmware revision. Fresh install from the StockOS UI
I didn't go through the processes of removing the network switch or rebooting the modem this time. (but had no Internet access)
Just reset the network adapter on the PC to get a new IP so I could get to the OpenWRT UI
But still shows no wireless options under the network tab
hmmm... Everything works for me at my wrt32x. Can u log into busybox shell through ssh and done this command
ifconfig -a
ls -l /sys/class/net/
lsmod
opkg list-installed
Please see below for the outputs of the commands.
Just to say as others are using the internet, i had to do this quickly so the Zyxel switch an other network items that work on an IP range other than 192.168.1.1 have been left in the network. I've just reset the PC network adapter to get a new IP incse any of that makes a difference. If need i can run the same commands later on with just ISP modem - WRT32X Router - Windows PC
replaced the WAN IP with XX.XX.XX.XXX

OMG! What happen when you try to
modprobe mwlwifi
ls /lib/modules/4.14.90/
its not normal. lsmod must output strings with loading kernel drivers (mwlwifi, etc.). Check do you have modules files with .ko extensions in /lib/modules/4.14.90/ (ls /lib/modules/4.14.90/).
it's a file with wireless settings /etc/config/wireless
look like you do not flashed router properly. Something went wrong.
Thanks for you help again.
I do find .ko files when running the script.
I've flashed 3 different revisions several times all with the same outcome via the Stock WebUI,
as its the only way i know to get back to Lede.
Hi all,
David if it is possible, it explains a doubt, the WRT32X uses the same hardware as the WRT3200, but the free memory in the WRT32X and much bigger than in the WRT3200 (according to the screen published in the friend's post).
The images for the 32x and 3200ac are different sized, so I assume they are different somehow. You might ask the same question in the developer section as they can better explain those differences.
Here is my 3200acm Free space. Uptime is about 4 days.
