Dataplicity for OpenWrt?

I need remote web access to an OpenWrt device that's connected to a local network, preferably over dataplicity or a method that doesn't include opening WAN ports on the network.

Does anyone know of such a solution?

We use tmate for that.
It is already packaged on OpenWRT (though you will have to build it yourself AFAIK): https://github.com/project-openwrt/openwrt-tmate
You can set it up on boot so it creates the tunneling so you can always enter the device.
