what do you mean by wifi config edit error?

tried the trunk-image from 12.feb.2017 and still got no wifi. logread looks like the firmware is crashing.

can you give me your sysupgrade-file to test? tried today with SNAPSHOT, r3436-90728c7 but no luck.
wifi is not working. looks like firmware is not correct loading.

Thanks for sending me your firmware.
But even with yours i get the "wifi firmware crash".

Found something out:
with RC2 i get wifi working if i remove d7800 from

/etc/hotplug.d/firmware/11-ath10k-caldata

and delete the following files:

/lib/firmware/ath10k/cal-pci-0001:01:00.0.bin
/lib/firmware/ath10k/cal-pci-0000:01:00.0.bin

after a
rmmod ath10k_pci
insmod ath10k_pci

or a reboot i got working wifi.

is somehow my art partition damaged?

hexdump -C /lib/firmware/ath10k/cal-pci-0000:01:00.0.bin ?

can you send me your /lib/firmware/ath10k/cal-pci-*, please?

Is your D7800 by any chance a Beta Test unit? I believe us R7800 test unit users have a similar issue with Wi-Fi as well.

Yep, a beta test unit. Found out that my device only has 256MB instead of 512MB Ram and no data in the ART-partition.

Copying the 2 pci-caldata files listed in this bug report thread for the D7800 to my R7800 after deleting the originals got me working wireless.
