D-Link DGL-5500 5GHz

I can't seem to get the 5Ghz band to work. Tried ath10k and still no luck. Any ideas on what I should do next?

Are you getting any error messages? What is your network configuration?

Would I look in the system log or kernel log?

Here's what I found.

@Larz1695 have you manage to resolve it?
I've got this router running CC, thinking about updating.
5 GHz is essential to me and I don't have a computer with ethernet port so playing with updates is painful and creative (last time I had to connect three routers...)

Nope. I haven't checked my bug report in awhile either but last time I checked it hasn't even been looked at.

Latest update to 17 fixed this issue for me.

How do you find performance of it?
I've just updated from Chaos Calmer and can't get more than 20Mb/s over ac (tried all channels, all channel widths).

I just use auto channel, auto frequency, and 80 Mhz width. It shows 802.11b in Luci but I get 55+ Mb per sec.

Played around a bit more (removed the interface and added it again) and seems like problem is around disabling WMM mode.

Without it, it tops at 20mbps.
Enable WMM and it's back at 128mbps.

Still nowhere close to 3x3 MIMO or whatever it should support, but it's enough for me now.

That's part of the wifi standard. WMM is a prerequisite for HT (N) and VHT (AC) modes. If you disable it you make your max link speed 54mbit (a/g).
