Sup. Seeing jkool702 and Agustin Lorenzo (Qosmio NSS) builds around, I decided to make my own based on both.
It’s available here to build, but, in a nutshell:
- Better CPU pinning
- Tailscale, ZeroTier OOTB
- Plex as a proper LUCI app
- NetData properly configured (to be lean)
- Aria2
- IT Tools, BentoPDF and PairDrop (via BunJS): For those times when Internet goes out
- One-time configuration scripts for firewall, guest network, and dumb AP mode.
- And lot of tweaks for ZRAM, Unbound, and what else.
The build itself wouldn’t build without some hard tweaks and removing some packages that refused to build, but anyway, currently running without any problems.
The device has a lot of RAM available to mount projects, but a relatively weak CPU (since it’s very energy efficient). In that regard, mounting simple apps with Bun (aarch64 musl) should be ok, like I did with PairDrop.
