Cudy WR3000S not able to flash after wrong version of firmware was used

Hello,
I've by mistake installed with first installation Cudy WR3000 firmware as below instead for WR3000S
wr3000 firmware OpenWrt 23.05.5 r24106-10cc5fcd00 / LuCI openwrt-23.05 branch git-24.264.56413-c7a3562
and I'm trying to move to 24.10 but it does not work neither from luci neither with ssh ->
sysupgrade -n -F openwrt-24.10.0-rc5-mediatek-filogic-cudy_wr3000s-v1-initramfs-kernel.bin
and I've got output ex.
Tue Jan 7 10:36:53 UTC 2025 upgrade: Image metadata not present
Image check failed but --force given - will update anyway!
deveice reboots but with old image
I've used both kernel and sysupgrade imaages of the firmware
OpenWrt Firmware Selector
I tried to use mdt but I don't see anything in the file below (neither firmware or anyting else)
root@OpenWrt:~# cat /proc/mtd
dev: size erasesize name
root@OpenWrt:~#

Could you please advise on this?
Thank you

start from scratch - https://www.cudy.com/blogs/faq/how-to-recovery-the-cudy-router-from-openwrt-firmware-to-cudy-official-firmware

@frollic,
I've tried that and the tftp does not recover to original firmware neither as I'm assuming due to openwrt already in place.
Thank you

link specifically says "How to Recovery the Cudy Router From OpenWRT Firmware to Cudy Official Firmware" ....

if TFTP via reset fails, you'll need serial to recover.

I've found the issue with the recovery - I needed to use WAN port instead of LAN and it worked fine to official cudy firmware and later on to proper openwrt.
Thank you
