Cudy AP3000 Outdoor recovery image

Hi!

I made a mistake flashing the AP3000 Outdoor. How I need the recovery.bin for tftp boot 192.168.1.88.
Please help.

Images are available at cudy.com.

On the official site are only signed sysupgrade images. No recovery.bin or similiar for tftp boot.

why is that a problem ?

The download link is broken :frowning:

check the link, and understand why it doesn't matter, my 1st reply in this thread is still valid.

sorry, not going to spoon feed you.

The first link was just a (hopefully legit) copy of the Windows program tftpd32. You can use any TFTP server instead. It is best to download applications direct from a known source instead of secondhand from a forum anyway.

Most of the problems people have with TFTP recovery are related to the TFTP server and the OS it is running on. If you have a spare working OpenWrt router it is simple to set it up as a TFTP server to do this recovery instead.

A regular firmware file is used for recovery. Change the file name only.

the 2nd link is broken too, but it was for the wrong device.
better broken, than making people flash the wrong image by accident ...

Likely one could TFTP Cudy's signed OpenWrt transitional firmware and save a step in the re-installation process. I have not tested this though.

dunno, but going all the way back to stock's just one additional flash, not worth finding out, imho.

Thanks, it worked with the regular file! So easy
