Connecting to Existing Mesh Network Using OpenWrt

is there any way to connect to my tenda/google home wifi mesh network with a openwrt router?

i meant adding an openwrt router as a mesh node to my existing non openwrt mesh network

Commercial mesh implementations are usually not standardized and heavily rely on proprietary (vendor- and even model specific) mechanisms. OpenWrt does not support these, but you have 802.11s, B.A.T.M.A.N. and other standardized methods at your disposal.

Rumor has it that google wifi might be one of the few commercial mesh systems implementing 802.11s, but you'd probably be among the first to test if that is correct or holds up to reality.

i'll probably just make an all openwrt mesh network and sell these things to buy an openwrt capable router, thanks
