Connect to SSH from outside

Hey Guys,

A week ago i startet to set up a SSH connection to my TP-LINK TL-WR1043N v5 with OpenWrt 18.06.5 r7897-9d401013fc / LuCI openwrt-18.06 branch (git-19.309.48729-bc17ef6)

My Network looks like this:
Internet - Router from Provider (192.168.0.1) -"Cable to WAN Port"- TPLink (192.168.0.2)

I want to set up a secure Way to get SSH commands from "outside" to my TPLInk.

I set port 12345 in my SSH configuration
I forwarded Port 12345 on my Provider router to my TPLink
I created a Rule on my TPLink Wan Firewall, to allow incoming on port 12345

Now i should be able to connect with my IP Adress (http://checkip.dyndns.com/) and an SSH app on my mobilephone with Mobile Data on. But it isn't working. Network Timeout. I can't ping my IP too.

You may clearly see i am new to this, so i haven't understand the best way to get my goal working yet.
With the search function i got a little more confused about the use of ssh keys. is it better?

hoping for help,

No, until this site shows your personal IP. Your IP is shown on the WAN port of 'Router from Provider'.
I guess this site shows one of your provider's IPs shared between multiple customers, so you don't have a public IP, your router is not accessible from the Internet. No relation to OpenWrt at all.

ok, no the ip on this site doesn't match with the Wan Ip on the Webpage of "Router from Provider". neither one of them allows to get pinged.

thank you for your quick Response and finding the failer with one shot.

The SSH connection should be possible via IPv6 if it is supported by both the client and server side ISPs.
