I am trying to understand the install process for Cudy wr3000.
I came across
https://openwrt.org/toh/views/toh_fwdownload (call this "source 1")
and
https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ (call this "source 2")
Are some of the downloads at each location the same?
It looks like source 2 lets me erase packages from the list and then create a custom build. So, that's good once I become more of a guru.

The unaltered files should be.
You can always CRC or sha them post DL and compare.

First you need intermediate firmware https://www.cudy.com/blogs/faq/openwrt-software-download
firmware-selector firmware without package changes is same as one linked in toh and device pages.
