Confused By Seemingly Redundant DHCP Settings

Hi,
I'm a bit confused by two similar-looking settings In LuCI. Both seem to refer to the maximum number of DHCP leases available:

1: Network > Interfaces > LAN > DHCP Server > Limit (Maximum number of leased addresses)

2: Network > DHCP and DNS > Advanced > Max DHCP leases (Maximum allowed number of active DHCP leases)

What is the difference between these two settings and how do they interact, if at all?

I've highlighted the settings in the screenshot, attached.

One setting is global, the size of the lease table shared across all interfaces. The other is specific to its one interface.
