Configuring Wifi Router please see details

Hey Guy's

Please Guide me I'm confused.

Right now i have sharing internet connection from my neighbor who have fiber connection.

But unfortunately my neighbor will shift to another place so he will also transfer his fiber connection to that home.

I have a router also installed in my apartment which is installed by local ISP.

But the problem is it is concealed in ceiling tiles i can not do anything physically with that router like take the Ethernet cable out from that router.

Also if i subscribe to that ISP it will give me an username/password which i have to enter in each devices after connect to there SSID.

Now my question is there a way that i can connect my openwrt router to my ISP through wifi and connect as much devices i want without knowing them :grinning:.

Also i have to use wireguard/sqm/custom DNS which can only be possible by openwrt router.

Thanks

Yes, scan wireless and join the SSID. Use the wizard to create a Wireless WAN. Add WWAN to thr WAN firewall zone.

Set these up as normal.

But where this page will appear in openwrt?

My ISP will not know how many devices are connected through openwrt router?

I'm not sure why you posted a screenshot for a non-OpenWrt device.

[Network] > Wireless

No - your devices will connect to LAN.

That is a captive portal. I think that travelmate has some features to automatically log in.

The underlying configuration will be a routed client. All of the devices behind your router will appear to be one to the ISP network. If you can't automatically log in you can manually log in with one device, and since this is keyed to the MAC address of your router, all of your others will reach the Internet as well.

you mean to say create interface for wireless wan?

but i think it automatically created if connect my openwrt router to ISP router through wifi?

It appears that we're communicating the same thing.

If you already created the STA configuration, you don't have to repeat.

Im getting here than

OP means username and password to the upstream captive portal on the MikroTik hotspot.

After applying the changes so that OpenWrt connects to the AP, use the web browser on any device connected to the OpenWrt router to attempt to go to an Internet site. You should see the Mikrotik page instead. Fill in your username and password. This should open the Internet to the OpenWrt router and everything connected to it.

After confirming that this works you can add the travelmate package to have OpenWrt automatically log in.

Really really all the things are going over my mind :disappointed:

Sorry :pensive:

Maybe I explained the things wrong.

Let me explain you again.

I want to connect my openwrt router to my ISP router through wifi and i what i really need is if my openwrt router connected to isp router it will handle the username and password and all other device which connect to my Openwrt router doesn't have to login to
that mikrotek.

Ahh gotch you i have to do it only once?

After that all device connected to openwrt router no need to go through that mikrotek login page?

Yes until your login times out, if the network enforces a timeout time.

bro i tried it but it isnot working

not even login page is opening in browser

please help @lleachii @digital-living

There is no IP address on wwan. An IP should have been received after connecting, even when not logged in. Does the wireless status say associated?

Can you please guide me to do from step 1 ?

Maybe I'm doing it all wrong.

Below are the steps i took to set it up.

I click on scan on 5ghz wifi radio than i all the wifi SSID appears i connect to my ISP wifi SSID than submit after it goes to next page to create my router SSID I created mith my own name.

That's it.

And also i noticed the SSID created aren't showing up in any device wifi.

I'm sure I'm doing it wrong.

Bro now i get it working but after reboot i have no connectivity to internet also cant open the login page too

Bro after hours of struggle i get to know that after reboot i have to manually set device to br-lan in wwan interface than save and apply and again i have to change it to unspecified than save and apply now my internet get up and running.

But after reboot it stops and have to do the above steps again and again.
