Configuring Repeater but changing upstream connection

I'm looking to use a NetGear EX3700 in a recreational vehicle as a directional repeater/amplifier in campgrounds. Main goal is to get signal from sometimes iffy wifi repeated to a known/fixed SSID so I don't have to repeatedly change the Wifi settings on my devices. Secondary desire is to have a more secure local network I control.

The configuration info I can find seems to be top down and always assume the wifi source signal comes first. Not sure, based upon the instructions, that I would not be required to go thru the entire setup sequence every time we change campgrounds.

Ideally, I would like to do the setup, and then just change the SSID/password for the source (campground) wifi when we move. The SSID and password for our devices could then be constant.

Any guidance?

Thanks!
