Hello,

my OpenWRT router is set up behind the WAN router.

I just installed the image and made only few adjustments.

At first Adblock worked. But now the same domains I tested that were blocked before. They can now be freely accessed.

Now I also want to install Wireguard server on the OpenWRT LAN router to allow being able to connect to my home network when I am not at home.

Does it make sense to follow these instructions in my case?

You need to have a publicly accessible IP on your WAN router and you need to properly configure forwarding there so that incoming WireGuard packages reach your OpenWrt router. But yes, the guide you mentioned covers the configuration on the OpenWrt side.
