Configuring openvpn as wired repeater

Dear,
first of all thanks for providing openwrt.
i would like to setup my router as

  1. wired repeater ( from main router lan to openwrt router wan)
  2. setup openvpn (getflix with ovpn file)
  3. configuring vpn-policy-based-routing.
    i have tried multiple ways but didnot get success in vpn policy based routing

so i would like to go from 1st step.

VPN/PBR expects a router, not a repeater.

Make the down stream connection a WAN, and make sure that the LAN subnet on the main router is different than on the repeater.
