Comfast CF-74V2

Hello, I tried to upload a new firmware for my Comfast router without success. A syntax error message appears on the screen

If there is an idea what could be the reason please share it with me.

are you sure the unit wasn't flashed ?

The unit worked well with it's original firmware (very poor)...

how did you UL the openwrt fw ?

sounds to me you did it wrong https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commit;h=ff95f859ebf710d2914472a3feeeb0d187d14459

The uploading process is done via Ethernet port.

it's always done via the ethernet port, it's like saying "it needs electricity".

I try to examine what you sent...

yeah, that would probably be a good idea

Thanks for it!

Hello,
I tried to upload firmware CF-EW74V2-V2.6.0.4 Without success. The Recover mode remains all the time. I assume the available RAM hasn't got enough room, but there is no additional information appears on the screen:

I'd appreciate it if you have an idea what the issue could be.

Regards,
Sandor

that's openwrt, but running the initramfs, seems you flashed the wrong image at some point.

Neither the factory nor the openwrt firmware can be uploaded. The openwrt initramfs uploaded immediately.

When the initramfs is running, use its upgrade firmware page to flash the same version sysupgrade file.

I tried to download CF-EW74-V3.0.1.7.rar file from the official Comfast site, although it exists in the lists, it still cannot be downloaded. Can anyone help with this?

do you think we're managing the official site ?

No, but someone may have already downloaded it.

Unfortunately, this version CF-EW74V2-V2.6.0.4.bin cannot be uploaded (flashed) to the device. It seems to happen fine, but still comes back to the initramfs screen.

First the initramfs binary has been successfully uploaded to the device.
But it is impossible to upload the sysupgrade binary. Is there any idea what could be the reason?

that's not what the picture you posted says.

that's also in the picture.
