I have installed a vm with combined-ext4 on x86-64 (x86-64-combined-ext4)
I would have expected failsafe not to work, but it does. When I boot the vm, I can select failsafe mode, reset password from there if needed.
I am looking for an explanation please.
most plastic routers doesn't have a console, but the failsafe question pops up there too.
Yeah, that's why I am asking. Initially I thought it might be hardware specs/dual boot or similar.
But same behavior is on vm.
That's just a function of the generic grub configuration used on all images, do cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg and you'll see where it comes from...
