Client mode router on same subnet?

I recently installed open-wrt on an EX6150 wifi extender because the stock OS lacks lots of features.

I want to connect it to my wifi network, then connect it's ethernet port to a switch and to other devices.

Documentation says the ethernet network must be on a different subnet. Is there a workaround for this? I really don't want to have to triple NAT my desktop lol. It would be much easier to keep my second router's network all on the same subnet.

Try Relay Bridge configuration

You can also try using WDS, if your hardware permits it.

Thank you for the help. I missed the part early in the article where it specifies the second subnet IP is only for management!

I second what @eduperez says; WDS is a lot more convenient if you have compatible hardware. If not, then you can try some of the relay options.
