Cisco e2500v2 setting up as a client

i followed the instructions https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/dumbap

i set to the ip address of lan to 192.168.2
get a error when i set the ip address of the upstream router 192.168.1.1 in the gateway

apply the setting and the router reboots to 192.168.1.1

new to this software...is there something wrong with the doc i used.
a link to a better doc on setting up as a client on this model of router

If I remember correctly, the apply button allows you to override the error.

It says apply unchecked or something similar.
