I want to upgrade my friends’ LTE router (a CAT 4 Huawei device).
What are some of the most affordable options for an LTE router with OpenWrt support (and preferably CAT 6 capability)?
I am based in Germany and would buy second-hand.

Well, usually that is simplest fix vs builtin 1dbm antenna
If you live close to the cell site your antenna doesn't matter. To get higher speed you need to upgrade to a higher cat modulation. If the carrier transmits on multiple bands and your old modem does not cover them all there will also likely be low performance. You're fighting for airtime on the old band that everyone else's low-end modem uses.
