Cheap GSM modem for TL-WR1043ND

Hello all,
I have a spare TL-WR1043ND router running latest version of OpenWrt. Planning to use it in my summer house for vacation internet needs.
For this I need GSM modem as a source of internet. As this is secondary house, I don't want to overinvest into hardware. Looking at what is on offer currently I see Huawei E3372 as a cheap option.
Does anyone has experience with combination of TL-WR1043ND and Huawei E3372? Should I somehow verify their compatibility before buying?
Is it in general good idea to buy cheap GSM modem like this? What internet speeds can I expect?

Thanks in advance.

A forum search for E3372 might yield some usefull info.

I've successfully used an E3276 with Openwrt.
Speed peaked (mid town) around 80-90mbit.
I've used it in rural areas too, but never actually measured the performance.

You could in theory skip the router all together, and go for a device like the
E8372. We have one in our car, and it works really well. Use it at hotels
with bad wifi/slow internet too.
