Change messages in dmesg

Hello,
in dmesg could be seen message ->
mtk_soc_eth 10100000.ethernet sw1: port 0 link down
mtk_soc_eth 10100000.ethernet sw1: port 0 link up (100Mbps/Full duplex)

I would like to know, where in source of mtk driver can I change the message.
I woluld like to see something like this
mtk_soc_eth 10100000.ethernet sw1: eth4 link down
mtk_soc_eth 10100000.ethernet sw1: eth4 link up (100Mbps/Full duplex)

Likely deep in the switch driver in kernel. Logically things are from different layers (switch port vs. network interface), so I doubt that you can change that easily. Switch driver does likely not know (and does not care) about eth0/1/2 etc.

Link sensitivity is at switch port level... eth mapping to network interface in a kernel level (or cpu level if you want it)...
There are two very different things.

Currently there are different incompatible and incomplete approaches
swconfig (OpenWRT/LEDE)
dsa (Marvell)
switchdev (Mellanmox I think)

IIRC the last one (switchdev) will use your desired output
