Carrier Aggregation (CA) Support on Telstra Arcadyan AW1000 5G Router and OpenWRT Compatibility

Hi,

I've searched extensively online, including Google, but I can't find any information regarding carrier aggregation (CA) support for 4G networks on the Telstra Arcadyan AW1000 5G Router. Specifically, I'm looking for details on which band combinations are supported for 2CA and 3CA.

Can anyone confirm if the router supports CA for the following band combinations: B1 + B3 + B41, B1 + B41, B1 + B3 and B3 + B41?

Additionally, does anyone know if OpenWRT supports enabling carrier aggregation on this model, or are there any limitations?

among other things will show possible CA combinations.

Thanks for the info. I’m thinking about buying the Telstra Arcadyan AW1000 Router, but I don’t have one to check myself.

Could someone run the command AT+QGETCAPABILITY? on their router and let me know the carrier aggregation combinations it shows? I’d really appreciate it!

Probably you see maxima somewhere in Quectel datasheets.

CA is a feature of a modem alone, not related to OpenWrt.

CA is also a carrier thing with the SIM card rate/comm plan...

It's usually transparent if the modem/module is left alone with the default config...

You can ask the shop. Modem is same on OEM fw and OpenWRT, as much as it pertains openwrt it is just faster or slower speed packets are passing.

This router has RG500Q-EA modem.I found this document.According to this document this modem support many CA band combinations. Thank you for your support.

You need to examine local tower map if closest towers have any of combinations present.
