I need a little help, I think.
I wanted to set up a repeater (wsm20 running 23.05.2).
The Router is the GL.Inet MT6000 with OpenWRT 23.05.
The MT6000's WAN is connected to a fritzbox 7530 (need that because of the modem) LAN port as DHCP client.
So far so good. If I connect my pc to a LAN port on the MT6000 everything is fine.
IP adress on the MT6000 is 192.168.8.1
Now I wanted to set up the repeater.
I followed this instructions here: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/atheroswds
I had set IPv4 gateway and DNS forwarding to 192.168.8.1 (MT6000) and also tried 192.168.188.1 (7530)
But it doesent work. The repeaters IP I have set static to 192.168.8.2.
If I set the IPv4 gateway + DNS forwarding to 192.168.8.1 on the repeater I can ping both routers. And tested to ping 8.8.8.8 which also works.
But I can not open any internet site. I'm connected to one of the LAN ports on the repeater.
The MT6000 is in AP (WDS) mode and the repeater is in client (WDS) mode.
whats wrong in my config?
I'm new into openWRT / network configuration so I dont know what informations do you need?
