I'm running the latest stock firmware on the AX23 v1.2, but when I try to install OpenWRT, I get an upload error, no matter which version or release I use (I've tried with the snapshot). My question is: how can I install it?

There's been reports of the bootloader being updated with the latest firmware and that installation is only possible in recovery mode.
Latest EU firmware is this year 2024 NL revision but seems it's only got an updated bootloader
Hi, there seems to be something wrong with your Firmware version - 3.0.3 is something that happens after OpenWrt was installed and a return to stock was attempted. You can follow these two threads to return to stock firmware version correctly and afterwards flash OpenWrt (again):

Well spotted, OP needs to install Openwrt back again though, to be able to fix the version 
Kind of a catch 22.
thnx everyone for suggestions and replys i wish many karma points for everyone that replied i just installed openwrt with Webrecovery method and it worked.however i will leave this thread for others,maybe it could help
