Hi,
I have been following the guide to getting Openwrt on a Wavlink WL-WN570HA1 however when I power on with the reset button in it does not seem to do the quick flashing, have they introduced new firmware to stop instalation ?
Thanks
Stuart

Can you see tftp requests and replies or anything at all in wireshark
Official guidance here: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/1489
Hi Brad,
No I have followed a guide on youtube where a guy shows you how to setup and use TFTP64, obviously using the ip address that the openwrt guide tells you to use, I set my ip using Netsetman, and select the folder that i made which has the Kernal in it renamed to firmware.bin, I will check out your guide tonight when I get home, what brought me to openwrt is the fact that something has changed in this latest Wavlink device as you cannot connect properly via cable to setup, and not just me but others are having the same problem..
Thanks
Stuart
then you haven't followed the guide, but some random guide on internet.
we take no responsibility for fingers lost if they tell you to put your hand in a blender.
Since no reference given it is a self-inflicted damage.
Hi,
I think you misunderstand me, the device is not bricked, there is something wrong with the new ac600 devices as they do not connect via cable as the manual suggests, the supplier of the devices are also having the same problem and are trying to get a solution from Wavlink, as I have a few of these devices I thought I would try and install Openwrt on one.
I have followed official guides, the youtube video that I looked at was merely how to setup the TFTP64 app which is used for the U Boot.
Thanks
Stuart
you'll need serial to investigate further.
but it's not a great device for openwrt:
